The programs and instruction being made available by Mindful Aviator are free for aviation professionals all over the world. Simply enter your airline code or the code of the airport where you are based. No personal information required! If you are not an aviation professional, I suggest the free introductory program under the resources section, audio recordings and non-pilot local community.

Please enter 3-digit airline code or home base airport code for access

Mindful Aviator is not a medical or clinical mental health resource. It is an organization dedicated to making Mindfulness and Meditation practice available in a secular, no-nonsense and useful way for professional pilots. When practiced regularly, Mindfulness and Meditation can help crewmembers reduce stress, improve situational awareness and resilience. It is not a “Cure” for mental illness, anxiety disorders, depression, addiction and so forth. While it is often used in conjunction with traditional treatments and interventions, it is not intended to replace them.

    Audio Recordings

The first three talks below are parts 1-3 of a short series (10-13 minutes each) on working with and Reducing Stress in Uncertain times. This is a special series uploaded during the Corona Virus Pandemic.  Below that is a second 10 part series that’s a bit more in depth than the Short Introductory Program linked from the home page. If you are finding these useful, consider the full courses available through this website. Full courses include detailed MP3 recordings and one on one time with your instructor via Zoom or similar app. All programs are designed for “pilots on the road”.

Local Community and Non-Pilot Audio Recordings.

The following audio recordings are intended for anyone and leave out the “pilot speak” and aviation references. The ten-part Short Introduction to Mindfulness Series is a collection of instructions and guided meditations. These vary in length from 10-15 minutes. In 10-1 the listener is encouraged to have a raisin as part of the guided exercise. The audio recording I Suck At Meditation, And So Should You is a talk about my journey into the world of mindfulness meditation and what someone else new to the practice may discover. This recording is 12 minutes long and I recommend it for those interested in learning a bit about the practice before trying it.
